Paris, May 10, 2016. Last night the Global Gift Foundation celebrated the VII Global Gift Gala Paris at the Four Seasons Hotel George V with its founder, Maria Bravo as host of the gala and actress Eva Longoria as honorary chair, who noted: “After Madrid, it is wonderful to be able to continue with the charitable initiatives of Global Gift Foundation in France. Paris is a city of solidarity that helps thousands of people, thanks to the commitment of those attending today.”

The historic Parisian hotel hosted this charity evening to coincide with European Day, in which the French journalist Nikos Aliagas surprised and thrilled as a master of ceremony with messages very much in keeping with the significance of the day to “celebrate peace and unity on the continent.”

The charity dinner was prepared by the French chef Christian Le Squer, who received his third Michelin star in 2016. His kitchen at the restaurant Le Cinq, at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, managed to bring authentic works of art to the table.

During the dinner, the charity auction run by Christie´s Julien Brunie offered exclusive attendees lots like a work by Henri Matisse or the ‘New York’ piece made in 3D by the young French artist Johann Perathoner. Also on auction was a dress designed by Jean Paul Gaultier; Jewels of Messika or Piper Heidsieck champagne. Unique experiences were also auctioned, such as attending the following Philanthropic Global Gift Weekend in Marbella next July.

Four projects benefited

In 2016, four NGOs will receive the donations collected during the evening in Paris: Eva Longoria Foundation, UNICEF France, La Bonne Étoile and Global Gift House – Global Gift Foundation

UNICEF France chose its international children’s programme to ensure the basic needs of children and mothers in emergency situations. The organization, established in more than 190 countries, is based on the International Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) to achieve its goal of ‘protection, education and health’ for children. “We need to continue to reduce the rate of 30% mortality of newborns, the number of women dying during pregnancy, rape and the number of families without access to safe drinking water,” UNICEF France President Jean Marie Dru.

La Bonne Étoile’s work with Asian Vietnamese orphaned children and adolescents, with their center in Vietnam, has been one of the causes that have also benefited. Laeticia Hallyday and Chef Hélène Darroze, founders of La Bonne Étoile, will allocate funds to projects for access to decent housing, education and medical care. She travels long periods to Vietnam to coordinate the team of this organization, founded in 2012.

The Eva Longoria Foundation aims to improve the quality of life for women in need thanks to helping improve their personal potential through business education and training. “Many women need help to shape a better future for themselves and their families through education and by promoting entrepreneurship.”

Among the current projects of the Global Gift Foundation, María Bravo, co-founder and host of the evening, announced the progress of the social project in Marbella, the Global Gift House.
