Marbella, June 26, 2026: María Bravo, founder of Global Gift Foundation and Casa Ángeles, has presented Nicolás Fernández with a specially designed all-terrain adapted wheelchair that will significantly improve his mobility and allow him to enjoy activities that had become extremely difficult, or even impossible, with his previous wheelchair.

Thanks to this new equipment, Nicolás will be able to comfortably and safely navigate hiking trails, country paths, seaside promenades, parks and natural landscapes, while also taking part in sports activities, family outings, and outdoor adventures with friends and loved ones.

The wheelchair was officially presented on Wednesday, June 24, at Casa Ángeles in Marbella, Global Gift Foundation’s day center, where Nicolás attends several days a week to receive rehabilitation therapies and specialized care. It is a place that has become part of his daily life and where he continues making remarkable progress towards regaining the normality and activities he so enjoyed before his brain tumor.

Designed specifically for uneven terrain, the new wheelchair features a lightweight yet durable frame, highly stable all-terrain wheels, advanced safety systems, and postural support, providing Nicolás with greater independence, comfort, and freedom of movement to embrace new challenges.

A passionate nature lover who has always enjoyed outdoor activities, Nicolás had been unable to experience walks through the countryside or along the beach for a long time. Thanks to this new wheelchair, he will once again be able to share those special moments with his family and rediscover the experiences he loves most.

Just a few days ago, on June 13, Nicolás used the wheelchair for the very first time while taking part in the IV Banco Mediolanum Charity Run, held at the Port of Málaga. The event was organized in support of Fundación Olivares and its pediatric cancer program and was inspired by Nicolás’ courageous journey after overcoming a brain tumor, making him a symbol of resilience, hope, and determination for hundreds of families.

Eva Longoria, María Bravo, Miguel Bosé, Iván Sánchez y Paula Echevarría celebraron The Global Gift Gala con un éxito arrollador.

“We hope this wheelchair will give Nicolás the opportunity to once again enjoy many of the activities he loved before his illness, while allowing his family to share a life with fewer limitations and many more happy moments together,” said María Bravo.

Visibly moved, Nicolás’ father, Damián Fernández, expressed his gratitude for a gift that will transform everyday life for the entire family:

“For a long time, we had to give up many activities because Nicolás’ previous wheelchair simply wasn’t suitable for certain types of terrain. Now, everything changes. This new wheelchair will allow him to join us on walks through the countryside, enjoy the seaside promenade, take part in outdoor activities, and experience moments that many families take for granted but that, for us, had become an enormous challenge. Seeing your child gain greater freedom, comfort, and the opportunity to enjoy a more active life is priceless. We are deeply grateful to María Bravo, Global Gift Foundation, and everyone who made this dream possible,” said Damián Fernández.

Because true inclusion means ensuring that no child is left behind and that every child has the opportunity to experience the childhood they deserve.
