The city honors the social commitment of the founder of Casa Ángeles, as well as her role as an Ambassador of Marbella, in an emotional ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and public figures such as Eva Longoria, Amaury Nolasco, and Brigitte Nielsen.
Marbella, August 7, 2025: Marbella paid tribute to one of its most dedicated humanitarian ambassadors, María Bravo,with the unveiling of a monolith at the roundabout that, as of today, bears her name. María was surrounded by family, local residents, and close friends such as Eva Longoria, Amaury Nolasco, and Brigitte Nielsen, who did not want to miss this heartfelt tribute.
The roundabout is located on Avenida de Istán, between Avenida Buchinger and Camino del Pinar, in the direction of Camino de Camoján, just 300 meters from Casa Ángeles, making this recognition deeply symbolic.
Marbella’s mayor, María Ángeles Muñoz, hosted the ceremony and offered heartfelt words of gratitude to María Bravo,highlighting her incredible and generous work leading Casa Ángeles since she founded it in 2021: “Today we pay tribute to a woman whose personal and professional journey represents the very best of Marbella. María Bravo has carried the name of our city to the highest level on the international stage as an artist, entrepreneur, and above all, as a compassionate ambassador. Her commitment to humanitarian causes, reflected in projects like Casa Ángeles, has left an indelible mark on many lives. This recognition is our way of giving back to you, dear María, for all you have given us as an ambassador of Marbella. That is why we are here today, at this roundabout that will bear your name, and above all, to ensure that your legacy lives on forever in a city that shines even brighter thanks to your extraordinary work.”
With this emotional inauguration ceremony, the Marbella City Council formally recognizes the philanthropic work and social commitment of María Bravo, highlighting her as a role model in solidarity and humanitarian efforts.
Eva Longoria also took the floor to express her affection and admiration for her friend and fellow humanitarian, acknowledging the transformative impact of her work in the community: “It is an honor and a pleasure for me to be here today with my little sister, María Bravo. The pride, respect, and admiration I feel for my María Bonita are immense and only continue to grow. She is an inspiration to me and to everyone who knows her. Seeing her receive recognitions like this roundabout brings me so much joy because there is no one more deserving than her. María, I love you, I respect you, and I admire you deeply. María Bravo, visibly moved, said: “This recognition is not only for me, but also for those who taught me that love is stronger than hate, like my parents. People like Eva and Alina have inspired me; by joining our forces, we have empowered other women and made projects like Casa Ángeles a reality, along with many other initiatives around the world. Every brick of this dream is built with their support and their hearts. Their commitment and love have been a constant light on my path. Eva and Alina have stood by me not only as friends but as sisters, and Casa Ángeles also carries their indelible mark.”
Casa Ángeles is a day center for children and young people with special needs and their families. Since its opening, it has become a key point of reference on the Costa del Sol, focused on inclusion, therapeutic support, and family guidance.
After the unveiling of the monolith at the roundabout, attendees made their way to Casa Ángeles, where they were welcomed with a standing ovation from the families and children at the center. The atmosphere was filled with emotion, affection, and gratitude toward María Bravo, whose dedication and social commitment have left a lasting mark on Marbella.
As part of the inclusive summer camp activities at Casa Ángeles, artist Nicolás Villamizar led a painting workshop with the children, encouraging creativity and art as tools for inclusion and personal expression. In addition, renowned artist Demo, through his representative Carol Sepúlveda, presented María Bravo with a red heart-shaped sculpture, created by him as a symbol of admiration and gratitude for her tireless humanitarian work.
