Best-selling international author, inspirational speaker, TV presenter and charity campaigner, Katie Pipe will join, actress, director and philanthropist, Eva Longoria at her 6th annual Global Gift Gala on Monday 30th November at Four Seasons, London.

Katie Piper will be honoured with the Global Gift Humanitarian Award this year, acknowledging her generous work with her charity. The Global Gift Humanitarian Award is presented to individuals who exemplify their own foundation’s mission and through their outstanding involvement and dedication, have made a significant contribution to changing the lives on an international level.

In 2009 she set up a charity The Katie Piper Foundation to help people with burns and scars to reconnect with their lives and their communities. Simon Cowell supported Katie by becoming the patron and remains actively involved to date. The charity’s vision is a world where scars do not limit a person’s function, social inclusion or sense of well-being.

The Global Gift Gala is a unique international initiative from the Global Gift Foundation, a charity founded by Maria Bravo and Alina Peralta that is dedicated to philanthropic events worldwide; to help raise funds and make a difference towards children and women across the globe. Last year, $1,418,528 USD was raised at the galas that took place in Paris, Cannes; Marbella; London and Dubai.

This year charities set to benefit from the gala include, The Eva Longoria Foundation, which focuses on women’s education and entrepreneurship and The Diana Award which is an award -winning charity that was founded as a legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales’ belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better. The Diana Award engages, encourages and motivates young people to keep up the good work! Together they aim for women and children’s needs to survive and thrive within their communities and around the world.
