THE LARGEST PAINTING TO HAVE EVER BEEN CREATED ON CANVAS’
A PHILANTHROPIC HUMANITARIAN MISSION
As the world went into lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic, artist Sacha Jafri embarked on an extraordinary project – to create the LARGEST PAINTING EVER CREATED ON CANVAS.
Since March, he has been in the Ballroom at Atlantis, The Palm, to bring this epic Painting, titled ‘The Journey of Humanity’, to life.
We have invited Children across the world (2-18 years old) to share their own creative artworks on the themes of CONNECTION & ISOLATION. These pieces of art have been pasted onto the Canvas, inside huge ‘Circular Portals’ leading us to a better World, through the HEARTS, MINDS & SOULS of the Children of the World.
We have been overwhelmed by the response from Children from 140 countries of the world.
Once completed and verified, Sacha’s painting ‘The journey of Humanity’ will enter the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BOOKS for the ‘LARGEST ART CANVAS’ in the world.
The Canvas, having left Atlantis the Palm, is now with our framer Four Seasons Ramesh Gallery where each of the 70 panels are being stretched, framed, catalogued, numbered and signed ready for our unveiling in December 2020. Following the unveiling and the paintings tour of the UAE, we will move onto our charity auction set for February 2021. We are aiming to raise USD$30m for the most in need Children across the world most effected by the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic.
Sacha Jafri is widely regarded as one of the world’s most celebrated living artists and is notable for raising over USD$60m for various children’s charities around the world from the sale of his paintings over the last 18 years.
